NJFDC Legislative Seminar - September 2011
Dear NJFDC Member Clubs,
After the January 22, 2011 NJFDC
Legislative Seminar "Recognizing, Understanding and
Protecting your Rights", which had such a great
response, the NJFDC Officers and Board of Directors
heard that the membership wanted to have another seminar
and learn about the next steps we need to take. So
with that, the NJFDC did a survey at the last membership
meeting about a tentative seminar and the response from
the delegates was tremendous. So we have planned
our next Legislative Seminar. It will be "Learning
to and How to Lobby"
It will be an evening program,
approximately two and a half hours, starting at 7:00
p.m. and a working dinner would be supplied. It
will be held at the same location as the last one,
Rutgers University, School of Management and Labor
Relations, 50 Labor Center Way, New Brunswick, New
Jersey 08901.
Our goal in this project will be to
educate the members on what is lobbying and how to lobby
the politicians when it comes to the canine world.
The goal would be to have a number of these attendees
attend a Lobby Day that the NJFDC plans sometime in the
near future.
Ideally, every club would purchase a
couple of tickets and give or sell them to their members
to enable them to attend. Our goal is to have
forty attendees. This is a simple goal, but we
need your assistance. The cost of each ticket will
be $30.
Please e-mail Jeffrey Ball at
Jeffbetsyball@yahoo.com or call him at 201-689-1323
with any questions.
Thank you for your assistance and we
hope we can count on your support in this endeavor.
Sincerely,
The NJFDC Special Legislative Seminar
