The New Jersey Federation of Dog Clubs, Inc. is a statewide organization devoted to the promotion and welfare of dogs. The Federation is composed of over 80 member clubs involving all phases of the dog fancy. These include 24 All Breed, 46 Specialty Breed and 6 Obedience Clubs, as well as 5 Animal Welfare Organizations. Each group is represented by delegates selected from within their own membership.

 

The NJFDC
. Promotes the welfare of dogs
. Publishes biennially the Breeders and Rescue Services Directory distributed statewide to veterinary offices, libraries, shelters and other organizations
. Awards annual veterinary school scholarships to worthy NJ residents
. Promotes the responsible owning, breeding and exhibiting of dogs
. Keeps current on state and local legislation that affects the interests of dogs and the dog owning community
. Protects and advances the interests of dogs by means of communication and cooperation between members
. Fosters education of the general public with respect to the proper selection, care and maintenance of dogs and the responsibility of dog ownership
